ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Foreign Office on Wednesday summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner J P Singh to lodge protest over the Indian government’s refusal to grant permission to its diplomatic staffers to travel to Kolkata to watch a high voltage World Cup T20 encounter.
India, yesterday, did not give travel permission to Pakistani diplomats to watch the T20 game between the neighbouring countries in Kolkata on March 19.
Pakistan conveyed to the deputy high commissioner that denial of travel permission is “unfortunate”, declaring the decision as “a violation of diplomatic norms”.
