KABUL: The six crew members of the crashed Pakistani helicopter – in Afghanistan’s Logar province – have been recovered and shifted to the country safely, sources said on Thursday.
The crew members – five Pakistani national and a Russian citizen – were made hostages by Taliban. Sources said the crew was handed over to Pakistani authorities in Chitral.
The Mi17 helicopter was en route to Russia for routine overhauling when it crash-landed in Logar on August 04. Officials have yet to confirm return of the crew.
