SIBI – A passenger was killed and at least eight others seriously injured on Tuesday when a train under rocket attack in Balochistan.
The train was hit by a rocket at the restive province of Balochistan. The militants fired three rockets at Quetta-bound Jaffar Express near Sibi town. “Three rockets hit a bogie near engine. A man died on the spot while at least eight others were wounded,” a Levies official said.
He said that the rescue operation was underway at the scene. He said that the security forces cordoned off the area and started search of the attackers who managed to flee in the mountainous region. Those injured were shifted to Sibi district hospital. Jaffar Express was heading to Quetta from Rawalpindi.
